Dr Samantha Macro is an experienced finance leader specialising in the life sciences sector. She has 20 years of experience in life science leadership, including senior roles at AstraZeneca, Horizon Discovery, Johnson Matthey and Mestag Therapeutics. Throughout her career, Samantha has been central to leading financial strategy, including securing a $45M seed financing, and guiding strategic and M&A initiatives in preparation for a NASDAQ filing.
Recently as Fractional CFO, Samantha leverages her extensive financial and investor relations experience to support life science companies, including serving as fractional CFO for Centauri Therapeutics, Stemsight Therapeutics and Broken String Biosciences.
Samantha holds a PhD and MBA from Loughborough University. She qualified as a chartered accountant at PwC and held senior roles at the company in both the UK and Australia.
