Dr Sebastian Kreuz is a seasoned investor and life-science professional with more than 15 years of experience in translational research and drug discovery within the pharmaceutical industry. As Head of Boehringer Ingelheim Venture Fund (BIVF) EU, Dr Kreuz leads investments in highly innovative therapeutics and discovery platforms across Europe.
Since joining the BIVF in 2019, Dr Kreuz has served on the boards of several portfolio companies, including Abalos Therapeutics, Centauri Therapeutics, Quantro Therapeutics, Rewind Therapeutics, Smartbax, and Topas Therapeutics. Prior to this, he held several positions within Boehringer Ingelheim’s R&D team, initially focusing on functional genomics approaches for early drug concept research. During his time in industry Dr Kreuz gained significant leadership experience, sucessfuly delivering both early- and late-stage projects.
Dr Kreuz holds a PhD in Molecular Biology and Immunology from the University of Stuttgart.
