David Chapman, PhD

Dave is an experienced virologist/vaccinologist with over 20 years of experience in the development of vaccines in both academic and commercial settings for animal and human health. He joins us from AstraZeneca where he was the head of the Strain Development Group responsible for the indentification, characterisation and generation of candidate vaccine strains for AstraZeneca’s childhood influenza vaccine.

Prior to his time with AstraZeneca, Dave spent several years in academia where his publications cover a range of topics from baceteriology, molecular biology, virology and vaccinology.

Dave obtained his PhD in molecular biology from The University of Reading, UK.
